Brief Film Treatment

The film starts at the end of a winter dark and eerie school day; an anonymous character is walking around the school briskly and after a few scenes he viciously stabs another student in the playground with a blunted object. The titles appear with additional non-diegetic sound, as the titles play through you sees gang related bullying & robberies setting the scene and environment of a London urban youth drama. After the title ends the camera shows a mid range shot of a funeral taking place. It focuses on the victim’s mother and older brother grieving. The older brother appearing extremely enraged. (Who has spent his whole life trying to avoid gang violence) after he was arrested for the possession of multiple firearms, it seems this incident has caused him to return to his previous life of crime, the audience are now aware that the older brother wants to seek revenge. A lot of the time is spent, with the older brother gathering his two or three of his friends (who are portrayed as being thugs) to help him find out. After the brother gathers his friends they confront the gang who they have established who has killed his lost younger brother.
The twist at the end is that the older brother discovers that the anonymous witness who led to his conviction was none other than his recently deceased brother. This drives the older brother insane, and creates a plot of revenge where the brother fights fire with fire...
